1) The best way to deal with fire in a pan is by using the wet dishcloth, plus never get panic.
2) Never ever use water to put out the fire in the pan because it can cause big fire. The water, being heavier than oil, sinks to the bottom where it instantly becomes superheated.
3) The explosive force of the steam blows the burning oil up and out. On the open field, it became a thirty foot high fireball that resembled a nuclear blast.
